I have completed a three year training course at the Alexander Technique Center in Cambridge Massachusetts and am ATI certified.
I danced ballet professionally for over ten years. I danced with Miami City Ballet, The Alabama Ballet, and with Washington Ballet. Throughout my career i experienced mind-body techniques as an important and valuable measure for preventing injuries. I firmly believe that body awareness, and curiousity leads to an intelligent dancer, performer, and artist. In additon to my ballet career I am also a graduate of New College of California with a degree in Arts and Social Change.
Teaching is my passion. I teach ballet to children and adults at ODC dance commons, MoBu Dance Studio, UC Berkeley and USF. As I increase my knowledge for dance pedagogy, I have recently acquired a certification in the Vaganova method of levels 1-3 from the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet. Please click on the links above for further information. I am also available for private ballet lessons and coaching.
Although I have danced the majority of my life, I still have a curiosity and joy for dance that continues to evolve and grow. I am honored to share my knowledge and joy of movement with my students.
I am currently teaching private Alexander Technique lessons in San Francisco. Please contact me for further information.
I have designed this website to share my interest and passion for the Alexander Technique.
I live in San Francisco with my husband Michael and our two cats, Annie & Samson.
